Dutch DJ Raymond Teunisse, better known as DJ Raymundo, began developing his passion for music from an early age. It was his father who sparked his love for synthesizer music from the ’70s and ’80s. Jean Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk in particular served as an example. DJ Marcello & Dj Zki were the ones who brought a young Raymond into contact with ‘house’, in the early 1990s. Marcello (former Chemistry resident) turned for the world famous Club IT in Amsterdam in 1991. Although Raymond was only 15 years old, DJ Marcello gave him the chance to gain experience at the same club. After presenting various residences in local clubs, house parties & dance programs on the radio, Raymond was approached by one of the best clubs in the Netherlands in 2006; Escape Venue in Amsterdam.

Raymond has been part of the permanent saturdaynight occupation at Escape Venue in Amsterdam for years. He did this under the title Framebusters, which is now better known as Brainwash. In addition to his work as a DJ, Raymundo is also responsible for booking both national and international top DJ’s. DJ Raymundo has regularly been responsible for many unforgettable evenings out in Amsterdam, in collaboration with Hardwell, Fedde le Grand, David Guetta, Axwell, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and many others.

In recent years DJ Raymundo has played at many major festivals. Some examples include Dance Valley, Mystery Land and Loveland Festival. The year 2017 goes into the books as a year with special meaning for Raymundo, In this year he celebrated his 25th anniversary as a DJ and the fact that he had been active behind the decks of residence Escape Venue in Amsterdam for 12.5 years. A unique thing in nightlife!

In addition to his work in the national field, his music is also appreciated across the national borders. With performances in the biggest clubs in China, U.S.A, Dubai, Germany & Quatar (to name a few countries), Raymundo has also been booked abroad to represent the Amsterdam partysound. In collaboration with Dave Leatherman, DJ Raymundo made a remix of the houseclassic “Soup-New York”. This production was released in March 2018 by Armada Music. In the years before that, Raymundo has already built up an impressive discography with releases on top labels such as: Spinnin’, Sneakerz, Sony Music & NEWS records.
